この度、はるばるドイツから日光へお越しくださったファイザーさんとバービーさんとの心温まる出会いについて、皆さまにご紹介したいと思います。
初めての日本、初めての日光、そして初めての浴衣体験を心ゆくまで楽しまれたお二人は、私たちスタッフにとって忘れられない、本当に特別な存在となりました。
Hello everyone! This is Misako Endo, the manager of Nikko Kimono Rental COCON NIKKO. Today, I want to share with you a heartwarming encounter we had with Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie, who traveled all the way from Germany to Nikko.
This was their first time in Japan, their first visit to Nikko, and their first yukata experience, which they enjoyed to the fullest. They truly became unforgettable and special guests for all of us here at COCON NIKKO.
鮮やかな浴衣に身を包み、日本の文化に触れる喜び Embracing Japanese Culture Dressed in Vibrant Yukata
COCON NIKKOの暖簾をくぐってくださったファイザーさんとバービーさん。まずお二人の目を引いたのは、店内に並ぶ色とりどりの浴衣でした。鮮やかな赤色浴衣を選んだファイザーさん、そして可憐なピンク色浴衣を選んだバービーさん。浴衣選びは、まるで宝探しのように楽しい時間だったようです。
「どれも素敵で迷ってしまうわ！」
そんな声が聞こえてくるほど、お二人は真剣に、そしてワクワクしながら浴衣を選んでいらっしゃいました。
Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie stepped through the noren (traditional curtain) of COCON NIKKO, and their eyes were immediately drawn to the colorful array of yukata lining our shelves. Mr. Pfeifer chose a vibrant red yukata, while Ms. Barbie picked a lovely pink one. Their yukata selection felt like a delightful treasure hunt!
“They’re all so beautiful, it’s hard to choose!”
We could hear them exclaiming as they earnestly and excitedly picked out their yukata.
特に、帯のコーディネートには興味津々。「この色にはどんな帯が合うかしら？」「日本の伝統的な結び方はどんなものがあるの？」と、次々に質問を投げかけてくださいました。私たちは、日本の伝統的な色合わせや帯の種類について説明しながら、お二人が心ゆくまで日本の美意識に触れていただけるようお手伝いさせていただきました。
お二人の熱心な眼差しを見ていると、日本の文化を心から楽しもうとされているお気持ちがひしひしと伝わってきました。
そして、浴衣姿をさらに華やかに彩るヘアセット。ファイザーさんとバービーさんは、ご自身のイメージに合わせて髪飾りを自由に組み合わせて、オリジナルのスタイルを作り上げてくださいました。
その洗練されたセンスと、自分らしさを大切にする姿勢に、私たちも感銘を受けました。鏡に映るご自身の浴衣姿を見て、満面の笑みを浮かべるお二人の姿は、私たちにとって最高の喜びでした。
They were particularly interested in coordinating the obi (sash). “What kind of obi would match this color?” and “What are the traditional Japanese tying methods?” they asked, one after another. We explained the traditional Japanese color combinations and different types of obi, helping them immerse themselves in Japanese aesthetics to their heart’s content.
Seeing their keen interest, we truly felt their genuine desire to enjoy Japanese culture.
Next, it was time for hair styling to complement their yukata. Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie freely combined hair ornaments to create their own original styles, matching their personal tastes.
Their refined sense of style and their commitment to expressing their individuality deeply impressed us. Seeing their beaming smiles as they looked at themselves in the mirror, dressed in yukata, brought us the greatest joy.
日光の歴史と自然を満喫！忘れられない思い出の数々 Exploring Nikko’s History and Nature: Unforgettable Memories
美しい浴衣に身を包んだお二人は、いざ日光の街へ。世界遺産である日光の二社一寺、そして優美な神橋を巡るお出かけは、お二人にとって初めての日本文化に触れる貴重な体験となりました。歴史ある建造物の壮大さ、そして豊かな自然が織りなす景色の美しさに、感嘆の声を上げていらっしゃいました。
Dressed in their beautiful yukata, the two headed out into the streets of Nikko. Their visit to Nikko’s World Heritage sites—the two shrines and one temple—and the elegant Shinkyo Bridge was a precious first encounter with Japanese culture for them. They gasped in admiration at the grandeur of the historical buildings and the breathtaking beauty of the rich natural scenery.
「まるで絵画の世界に迷い込んだようだわ！」
「日本の歴史と自然がこんなにも調和しているなんて、本当に素晴らしい！」
“It’s like stepping into a painting!”
“It’s truly wonderful how Japan’s history and nature are in such harmony!”
そんな感動の言葉をいただき、私たちも大変嬉しく思いました。特に、悠久の時を超えて佇む社寺や、朱塗りの神橋の荘厳さに、お二人は深く心を動かされたようでした。私たちは、日光の歴史や文化、そしてそれぞれの場所が持つ意味について、できる限り詳しくお伝えしました。お二人は、私たちの説明に熱心に耳を傾け、日本の奥深い精神性に触れようと努めてくださいました。
We were so happy to hear such words of感动. The ancient temples and shrines, standing the test of time, and the solemnity of the vermillion Shinkyo Bridge, particularly moved them. We explained Nikko’s history, culture, and the significance of each place in as much detail as possible. They listened intently to our explanations, striving to connect with Japan’s profound spirituality.
国境を越えた友情の証：ドイツからの心温まるプレゼント A Token of Cross-Border Friendship: A Heartwarming Gift from Germany
ファイザーさんとバービーさんとの交流は、私たちにとって本当に特別な時間でした。お二人の好奇心旺盛で、人懐っこいお人柄に、私たちスタッフもすっかり魅了されました。そして、お帰りになる際、お二人が私たちにくださったプレゼントに、私たちは言葉を失いました。
それは、ドイツの美しいアクセサリーでした。感謝のしるし、そして友人として、私たちに贈ってくださったのです。
予期せぬ、そして心温まる贈り物に、私たちスタッフは涙が止まりませんでした。遠い異国の地から訪れたお客様が、ここまで日本の文化を尊重し、私たちとの出会いを大切にしてくださったことに、深い感動を覚えました。
Our interaction with Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie was truly a special time for us. Their curious and friendly personalities completely charmed our staff. And when they were leaving, the gift they gave us left us speechless.
It was a beautiful German accessory. They gave it to us as a token of their gratitude and as friends.
This unexpected and heartwarming gift brought tears to our staff’s eyes. We were deeply moved that customers from a distant, foreign land would show such respect for Japanese culture and cherish their encounter with us so much.
このアクセサリーは、単なるプレゼントではなく、国境を越えた友情の証であり、私たちCOCON NIKKOにとってかけがえのない宝物となりました。

Their warm thoughtfulness made us realize that the spirit of Japanese omotenashi had truly reached them, all the way in Germany.

And in turn, we felt our deepest gratitude and respect for them. This encounter was a valuable experience that reminded us anew of the joy of deepening our bond with our customers.

Through our encounter with Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie, we gained a deeper understanding of the wonderful character of the German people and the charm of Germany itself.

お二人の会話の端々から感じられたのは、深い知的好奇心と探求心です。浴衣の着付けや帯の結び方、日本の歴史、食文化に至るまで、あらゆることに興味を持ち、積極的に質問し、理解しようと努める姿勢は、まさにドイツの方々の国民性を象徴しているようでした。

What we sensed throughout their conversations was a deep intellectual curiosity and a spirit of inquiry. From how to wear a yukata and tie an obi, to Japanese history and food culture, they showed interest in everything, actively asking questions and striving to understand. This attitude truly seemed to symbolize the German national character.
Germany is a country that has contributed to the world in various fields like philosophy, science, and art. Behind this lies a strong foundation of logical thinking and a spirit that seeks to deeply explore the essence of things. The way Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie enjoyed intellectual exploration and sought to understand different cultures is likely deeply rooted in German education and society as a whole. We felt that this characteristic is extremely important in promoting cross-cultural understanding and leading to new discoveries.
真面目で誠実、そして温かい人柄 Earnest, Sincere, and Warm Personalities
お二人の立ち居振る舞いや言葉遣いからは、真面目さと誠実さが感じられました。約束をきちんと守り、礼儀正しく、そして何よりも人に対して温かい心を向けてくださる。特に、私たちスタッフへの感謝の気持ちを、惜しみなく表現してくださったこと、そして心温まるプレゼントをくださったことは、お二人の誠実で優しいお人柄の表れです。
ドイツの人々は、一般的に「真面目」「勤勉」といったイメージを持たれていますが、それは決して冷たい印象ではなく、むしろ責任感が強く、信頼できる人柄であることの証だと感じます。そして、その根底には、人間に対する深い尊敬と温かさが流れているのだと、お二人との交流を通して実感しました。
Their demeanor and language conveyed earnestness and sincerity. They kept their promises, were polite, and most importantly, showed warmth towards people. In particular, their unreserved expression of gratitude to our staff and the heartwarming gift they gave us were clear signs of their sincere and kind personalities.
German people are generally seen as “earnest” and “diligent,” but this isn’t a cold impression; rather, it signifies a strong sense of responsibility and trustworthiness. And beneath that, we felt a deep respect and warmth for humanity flowing, through our interaction with them.
個性を尊重し、自己表現を大切にする文化 ACulture that Respects Individuality and Values Self-Expression
浴衣の髪飾りをオリジナルで組み合わせるセンスや、ご自身の意見をはっきりと伝える姿勢から、ドイツの人々が個性を尊重し、自己表現を大切にする文化を持っていることが垣間見えました。画一的な美しさではなく、それぞれが持つユニークさを尊重し、それを表現することに喜びを感じる。これは、多様性を重んじる現代社会において、非常に重要な価値観だと感じます。
ドイツは、芸術やデザインの分野でも世界をリードする国です。バウハウスに代表される機能的で美しいデザインは、個々の創造性を尊重する土壌から生まれているのでしょう。ファイザーさんとバービーさんのように、自らの感性を信じ、それを表現する姿は、まさにドイツのそうした文化を体現しているようでした。
Their sense of creativity in combining yukata hair ornaments and their clear way of expressing their opinions hinted at a German culture that respects individuality and values self-expression. They find joy not in uniform beauty, but in respecting and expressing the uniqueness each person possesses. We felt this is an extremely important value in today’s diverse society.
Germany is also a country that leads the world in art and design. Functional and beautiful designs, exemplified by Bauhaus, likely stem from a soil that respects individual creativity. Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie, in trusting and expressing their own sensibilities, seemed to embody such German culture.
旅行を深く楽しむ精神 A Spirit of Deeply Enjoying Travel
ファイザーさんとバービーさんの日本滞在は、単なる観光に留まらず、日本の文化、歴史、食といった多岐にわたる側面を深く理解しようとする旅でした。和牛ステーキソースのレシピをメモする姿は、その国の文化を丸ごと体験し、吸収しようとする意欲の表れです。
ドイツの人々は、休暇を大切にし、旅行を単なる休息ではなく、知的な刺激を得る機会と捉える傾向があると言われています。世界遺産や美術館、歴史的な建造物を熱心に訪れ、その背景にある物語を学ぶことを楽しむ。ファイザーさんとバービーさんも、まさにその精神を持って、日光の旅を満喫してくださいました。
Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie’s stay in Japan was not merely tourism; it was a journey to deeply understand various aspects of Japanese culture, history, and food. Their act of jotting down the Wagyu steak sauce recipe demonstrated their eagerness to fully experience and absorb the culture of the country they were visiting.

They eagerly visit World Heritage sites, museums, and historical buildings, and enjoy learning the stories behind them. Mr. Pfeifer and Ms. Barbie, with precisely that spirit, thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Nikko.
