[New Year’s Holiday Notice] With Gratitude for 2025: Thank You for the “En” (Special Connections) Shared with Guests Worldwide! We Reopen on January 2nd.

Hello everyone! We are Misa Endo and Runa Kodaira, the managers of Nikko Kimono Rental COCON NIKKO.

Time flies, and only a few days remain in 2025.
The streets of Nikko are currently wrapped in the quiet, beautiful winter air.

Looking back on this past year, our hearts are filled with one word: Gratitude.

“Great!” Encounters from Japan and Around the Globe
This year, we were honored to welcome so many guests to COCON NIKKO.

We met families from across Japan who told us, “It was our dream to wear a kimono in Nikko!”
We also welcomed guests from the USA, Europe, Australia, Asia, and beyond, whose eyes sparkled with a desire to experience Japanese culture.

Though languages and cultures may differ, the “blossoming smiles” we see the moment someone looks in the mirror after being dressed in a kimono are universal.

  • Sharing life’s milestones, such as Shichi-Go-San and Kanreki (60th birthday) celebrations.
  • Guests hugging us and saying, “Misa! Great experience!”
  • The promises of “I’ll definitely come back again.”

Each of these moments is a precious treasure for our staff and the energy that drives us forward.
Out of all the shops you could have chosen, thank you so, so much for choosing COCON NIKKO!

Start Your 2026 in Nikko from January 2nd!

A fresh start to a new year!
We will be open and full of energy starting January 2nd.

Visiting the World Heritage site Nikko Toshogu Shrine or Futarasan Shrine for Hatsumode is a wonderful tradition. Visiting these sacred sites in the crisp New Year air while wearing a formal HoumongiHaori Hakama, or a colorful kimono feels absolutely magnificent.

They say, “The plan for the year is made on New Year’s Day.” Why not make a beautiful start to 2026 with your first kimono experience of the year on January 2nd?

Reservations for New Year visits are still available!
We have a variety of outfits perfect for the New Year, including our popular Houmongi plans and Couple plans. We look forward to seeing you!

Closing: Wishing You a Happy New Year

To all our customers, local community members, and partners who supported COCON NIKKO in 2025, we offer our deepest thanks.

In 2026, our entire team will continue to refine our skills and hospitality to deliver “Cute!”, “Fun!”, and “Happy!” experiences to the world through the art of Kimono.

As the weather gets colder, please take good care of yourselves. We wish you a wonderful New Year filled with smiles.

We can’t wait to see your bright smiles again on January 2nd!

Thank you, 2025!
Here we come, 2026!
