Nikko Futarasan Shrine Wind Chime Festival Information
日光市山内の日光二荒山神社で夏の風物詩「日光風鈴まつり」が始まり、境内に涼やかな音色を響かせている。９月７日まで。
The “Nikko Furin Matsuri,” a summer tradition, has begun at Nikko Futarasan Shrine in Nikko City’s Sannai area, filling the grounds with refreshing sounds. It runs until September 7th.
神社職員で陶芸家の佐藤和彦さんが焼き上げた陶器、磁器の風鈴など計約１０００個が境内に飾り付けられた。朱塗りの楼門前には１００個が連なる「風鈴トンネル」が作られ、参拝客らは頭上から降り注ぐ音色に聴き入ったり、カラフルな風鈴を写真に撮ったりしていた。
Approximately 1,000 wind chimes, including ceramic and porcelain chimes fired by shrine staff member and ceramist Kazuhiko Sato, are displayed throughout the grounds. In front of the vermilion-lacquered Romon Gate, a “wind chime tunnel” made of 100 connected chimes has been created, where worshippers listen to the sounds raining down from above and photograph the colorful wind chimes.
このほかリズムを奏でる音階風鈴のほか、佐野市の伝統工芸「天明鋳物」の風鈴も展示。札所では磁器風鈴を販売している。
In addition, a melodic scale wind chime and wind chimes made from “Tenmyo Imono,” a traditional craft from Sano City, are also on display. Porcelain wind chimes are available for purchase at the amulet office.
